£700K tax debt Forces Ban on TFP Hospitality Directors

After years of being company directors of TFP Hospitality, the couple Andrew Novak and Clare Loise Novak, from Lancashire have been banned from holding the director role after owing over £700,000 to HMRC.

The married couple were appointed as directors in 2010 a year after the company, TFP Hospitality limited, was incorporated way back in 2009.

What did The Couple Do?

According to the detailed report published by The Insolvency Service, TFP Hospitality owed creditors an amount of £766,568, out of which, they were required to pay £736,555 to HMRC. This is a result of not making the VAT and PAYE payments in time for two years between 2019 and 2021.

As a result of failing to pay the required amount in time, and not coming forth themselves, the married couple, Andrew Novak has been banned from holding director role for three years, while his wife, Clare Novak has been banned from the same for three years and six months. The order was forced into action starting on the 8^th of June 2023.

What Happened to TFP Hospitality?

The company, TFP Hospitality, seemed to be doing well, until the pressure started sinking in, resulting in the company going into liquidation in July 2021 and the company ultimately being dissolved on the 27^th October, 2022. 

By the time of the company’s liquidation, they owed a total of £456,094, £20,403 in surcharges and £435,691 to HMRC in VAT payments.

TFP Hospitality had also failed to make their PAYE payments, an amount of £231,439, interests and penalties included, between the years 2019 and 2021.

Where are They Now?

While Andrew Novak, 41, resigned from his position in June, 2020, his wife, Clare Novak stayed with TFP Hospitality until its liquidation a year later in July of 2021.

At the moment, the husband, Andrew Novak, is known to be working as the manager at The Firepit Restaurant & Cocktail Bar in Rawtenstall and it is believed for his wife, Claire Novak, to be working at the same place.
